1. Purpose
In this phase the alumni of those universities that have not provided their position on whether a male observed at birth can become a female will be asked to email their alma mater to encourage them to provide a position.
2. The Process
On X/Twitter and LinkedIn we will issue a post requesting alumni to email the universities that have yet to provide a position.
The alumnus will need to:
Send the email to the VC of the University, making sure to CC (Carbon Copy) ISBIMAN@outlook.com
It is important not to include any attachments to the email as this is likely to be directed to the Junk Folder (as a sender the mail server recognizes as an external sender)
Forward any response he or she receives from the university to ISBIMAN@outlook.com
4. Analysis
The sole purpose of the analysis is to understand the the reason inhibiting the university from providing its position. The University may be more forthcoming towards an alumnus regarding its reasons for not providing its position than to an external team.
The analysis will provide summary statistics on:
The number of letters sent by alumni to the university;
The number of responses (and non responses) by the university to the alumni, and the response time;
The nature, in summary form, of the university’s reason for not supplying a Position Statement.
5. Data Protection and Privacy
We will need to log the email addresses and names of the alumni so as to track emails sent to and the responses received from the University.
Within a week of the 19th Jul 2024 will have deleted the emails and the raw data used for the analysis from all computer and mobile devices. Any paper records will be shredded. We will confirm on X/Twitter, LinkedIn and this Substack that we have performed these actions and that we retain no personal data on the alumni (or their views as expressed in their emails) in electronic or paper form.
Should we be asked during the alumni encouragement phase, or any time afterwards, whether Person X sent an encouragement email to University Y, we will state that we assured alumni of confidentiality. The questioner can, of course, consult the university, which will respond according to their data protection rules.
